MIAC Baseball Playoffs--Directions

There is road construction in Northfield at the intersecion of Minnesota Highways 3 and 19. Those arriving via Minn. Hwy. 3 South or Minn. Hwy. 19 west will be affected. Follow appropriate detours.

Directions coming from north via I-35:
I-35 South to Northfield Exit, #69. Go east on Highway 19 for six miles. Continue past St. Olaf sign/entrance on the left side of the road. Take the first right on Armstrong Road.

  • For Sechler Park, follow curve about one mile to the entrance to Sechler Park. Turn left and follow road past softball fields and the soccer field. The Sechler Park Field is on the right side.
  • For Memorial Park, follow curve about two miles to a "T" intersection (Hester Street). Turn left, cross railroad tracks. After stop sign continue about two blocks. Cross both river bridges and take first right on 1st Street. Continue south 4 blocks to ball park. 1st Street dead ends at the ball park.

Directions coming from north via Minn. Hwy. 3 South (under construction):
Take Hwy. 3 south into Northfield city limits. Follow detour, going west on 2nd St. for 1 block, south on Linden St. for 1 block, then right/west on Forest Ave. At intersection of Forest and Highway 19, go straight as Forest turns into Armstrong Road.

  • For Sechler Park, follow curve about one mile to the entrance to Sechler Park. Turn left and follow road past softball fields and the soccer field. The Sechler Park Field is on the right side.
  • For Memorial Park, follow curve about two miles to a "T" intersection (Hester Street). Turn left, cross railroad tracks. After stop sign continue about two blocks. Cross both river bridges and take first right on 1st Street. Continue south 4 blocks to ball park. 1st Street dead ends at the ball park.

Directions coming from north/east via Minn. Hwy. 19 West (under construction):
Take Hwy. 19 West, Follow detour, going straight through stop light and bearing west on 2nd St. for 1 block, then turn left/south on Linden St. for 1 block, then right/west on Forest Ave. At intersection of Forest and Highway 19, go straight as Forest turns into Armstrong Road.

Directions coming from south via I-35 to Memorial Park and Sechler Park:
I-35 North to Dundas Exit, #66. Go east on Rice Co. 1 about 5 miles into Dundas. CR-1 wil come to a "T" intersection at Railway Street, take a left.

  • To go to Dundas' Memorial Park, take a right at the stop sign on and continue across two river bridges to 1st Street. Continue south 4 blocks to ball park. 1st Street dead ends at the ball park.
  • For Northfield's Sechler Park, take a left at the stop sign and then immediate right across railroad tracks/at top of hill. Continue on Dundas Blvd./Armstrong road for about 1 mile, with Sechler Park entrance just past yard waste area on right.Turn right and follow road past softball fields and the soccer field. The Sechler Park Field is on the right side.

Directions coming from west via Hwy. 19 East:
Go east on Highway 19 into Northfield city limits, six miles past I-35/Hwy. 19 overpass. Continue past St. Olaf sign/entrance on the left side of the road. Take the first right on Armstrong Road.

  • For Sechler Park, follow curve about one mile to the entrance to Sechler Park. Turn left and follow road past softball fields and the soccer field. The Sechler Park Field is on the right side.
  • For Memorial Park, follow curve about two miles to a "T" intersection (Hester Street). Turn left, cross railroad tracks. After stop sign continue about two blocks. Cross both river bridges and take first right on 1st Street. Continue south 4 blocks to ball park. 1st Street dead ends at the ball park.
