Academics are at the core of any off-campus studies experience. It is also important that the academics on your off-campus study program integrate seamlessly with your degree progress at Carleton. Please review the following information carefully to ensure that there are no surprises when it comes to academic details!

  • Eligibility for Off-Campus Study

    In order to get academic credit for a non-Carleton OCS program you must fill out a petition.

  • Internal Review Board

    Students who collect data on human subjects that may be used for comps, presentation, or publication while off-campus must obtain clearance from Carleton's IRB in addition to going through the IRB of the program provider (e.g. SIT).
